Sixth place for Alberto Dainese in Laval.
Ethan Hayter was one of the main animators on the last day of the Boucles de la Cayenne’s, a race where our team competed for the first time. The 27-year-old Brit returned to action here for the first time since Itzulia Basque Country, and after delivering a top ten result on the prologue, he attacked in the opening kilometers of stage 3 and booked a place in a strong four-man breakaway.
One of the most active riders there, Ethan won the first intermediate sprint and scored points also on the climbs while helping the group build a maximum lead of three minutes. The Brit stayed up the road for more than 100 kilometers, being caught by the field just before entering the local circuit, where the peloton continued to keep things together for a bunch sprint.
The victory went to Olav Kooij (Decathlon CMA CGM), while Alberto Dainese concluded as the best Soudal Quick-Step rider, taking another top ten, just like on the first stage of the French race.
