Following a crash while descending during Wednesday's stage 11 of the Giro d’Italia, Filippo Zana underwent medical examinations and X-rays.
The Giro di Sardegna winner was involved in an incident when the rider in front of him crashed in a downhill section, but he was able to continue to Chiavari, where he was taken to an X-ray van stationed at the finish.
Examinations have revealed that Filippo has not sustained any broken bones and he will now take a full night’s rest before being assessed again in the morning.
