A top-three finisher there on two occasions, Pascal Eenkhoorn is ready to take on the 196.3km race together with his teammates.
The weekend brings two appointments for our team, the first of which is the NXT Classic, the race formerly known as the Volta Limburg Classic. The parcours around Eijsden, where the race takes place, is a hilly one, comprising more than 20 climbs, the last of which comes inside the last 16 kilometers. It will be difficult for the peloton to control the race, which in the past years has favoured the attackers, the last time the winner emerged from a bunch sprint being 2014.
Having been twice on the podium of the NXT Classic in recent seasons, Pascal Eenkhorn will be determined to be among the protagonists again on these roads that he knows so well. Alberto Dainese, Casper Pedersen, and four Devo riders - Jasper Schoofs, Gauthier Servranckx, Viktor Soenens, and Stan Van Tricht - will join the former Dutch Champion on our squad for the 51st edition.
“It’s what we call the mini Amstel Gold Race. A tough parcours, featuring the typical Limburg hills that come in quick succession, thus making for a demanding day in the saddle. We aim for a good result, especially as we have Pascal in our ranks. The race is held in his backyard, he’s had some strong results here in the past and starts with a lot of motivation, as does the entire team”, said with confidence sports director Niki Terpstra.
