Soudal Quick-Step U19 celebrates its 16th success of the year.

Victor Devos sealed the overall victory at one of the most important stage races of the season, the Keizer der Juniores, where his remarkable consistency propelled him to the top of the leaderboard.

The 17-year-old Frenchman came here after picking up his first win of the season one week ago, at La Classique Puisaye Forterre, and was aiming for a strong general classification. Runner-up from a select group on the opening stage, he moved into the leader’s jersey following the short time trial in Wulpen, where he finished seventh. In the afternoon stage held around Koksijde, with the help of his teammates, Devos successfully defended his position in the standings and sealed his maiden GC victory in the junior ranks.

“It was a hard race, which I started off by getting a strong result. I knew that I could do a good ITT, which put me in a perfect position in the general classification. On Sunday, I had an amazing team around me, who controlled everything and helped me bring the win home, and for that I am grateful to the guys. I’m proud of this success”, said Victor, only the second Frenchman to win the Keizer der Juniores.
