Tim Merlier is ready to finally pin on a number and race in the Soudal Quick-Step jersey again. One of the best sprinters of recent seasons, the 33-year-old will be at the start of the 15th Grote Prijs Jean-Pierre Monseré, an event he won in 2021, and he can’t wait to ease back into racing together with the Wolfpack.
“I don’t know what my level is, which is normal after such a break, but I am happy to start my season and be present in the bunch. It’s something that gives me a lot of motivation. I don’t go there with any specific expectations, I just want to enjoy a good race, continue building my form and get some confidence on Sunday”, said the former European Champion, who has scored 42 victories for our team in the past three seasons.
