ll Lombardia

Il Lombardia, the season’s final Monument and our team’s penultimate outing of the year in a one-day race, takes place this Saturday. The 120th edition of the “Classic of the Falling Leaves” will start from Bergamo and finish in Como after 239 kilometers, a demanding route that takes in nine climbs and 4600 meters of elevation gain.

This year’s main attraction will be a 22km circuit which is sure to be decisive in the outcome of the race. After passing through Como inside the last hour of the race, the riders will tackle San Fermo della Battaglia for the first time, descend towards Como and cross the finish line. Around one kilometre later, they will face the demanding climb to Civiglio, with gradients consistently around 10%, before descending and crossing Como again to tackle San Fermo della Battaglia for a second time. From its top, only five kilometers separate them from the finish of the Italian Monument which our team has won on two occasions.
