Said Cisneros joined us following two strong years spent in the colors of the A.R. Monex Pro Cycling Team, where he got to make his first real steps in cycling. One of the most talented Mexican riders out there, Said has competed mainly in Europe in the past seasons, producing some solid rides in a number of races, as well as impressing at the most recent edition of the World Championships.
In October, just before bringing his final year in the junior ranks to a conclusion, Said put in a remarkable display at the Mexican National Championships, taking silver in the individual time trial before winning the road race just one day later and signing off the most important result of his career so far.
A strong climber who carries an impressive punch at the end of a race, he is delighted to ride in the Soudal Quick-Step Devo Team jersey: “It makes me happy to be together with this strong squad for my season in the U23 category. I want to develop, learn as much as I can from the more experienced riders and put that into practice on the road, but also to take part in some of the biggest races on the calendar. Cycling in Mexico has become more and more popular in the last couple of years, and I am glad that I’ll represent my country in the peloton.”
