Kevin raced for the team eight years, as one of the riders who were on the original roster when the squad was created, back in 2003. In recent years, he took up the role of sports director for both Soudal Quick-Step and the Soudal Quick-Step Devo Team, at the latter helping the young riders as they began learning the trade and adapting to the rigours of the sport. In the past two seasons, his experience and knowledge were instrumental in the team becoming one of the best U23 set-ups in the world, the riders he guided from the car powering to dozens of victories and showing off their potential, which eventually led to many of them being signed by the World Tour outfit.
