Team photographer
Wout Beel was born in 1986 in Roeselare, in the heart of West-Flanders, as the son of a well-known local press photographer. By coincidence he got picked up by the team to cover some events in 2019, and although he was not at all familiar with cycling at that time, he quickly fell in love with everything that involves bike racing: the adventures, landscapes, people, travelling, but most of all, the thrill that comes with winning as a team.
When not at the races, Wout runs his studio in Moorslede, where he does all sorts of photography: from business shoots to product shots to family and events. Together with his girlfriend they have three sons and two cats, and he loves binge watching series and playing games with the kids.
“My favorite race is without doubt Strade Bianche; the white roads, the dust, the Italian passion for cycling, not many races can beat that total package”, said Wout, who has a special place in his heart for two other special races: the Ronde van Vlaanderen and the Tour de France.
