Gelders snelste Soudal Quick-Step renner in proloog Deutschland Tour
De Deutschland Tour - een van de oudste rittenkoersen ter wereld - werd woensdagmiddag op gang geschoten met een proloog over 2,9 kilometer in Schweinfurt. Gil Gelders en Luke Lamperti zetten beiden een sterke proloog neer in 3 minuten en 22 seconden. Zij eindigden enkele seconden achter Jonathan Milan (Lidl-Trek) net buiten de top-10.
Donderdag volgt de eerste rit in lijn met een lastige klim in de laatste 15 kilometer. Dat geeft de vluchters een prima kans op de ritzege in Heilbronn.
