Omega Pharma -  Quick-Step Cycling Team rider Andrew Fenn placed 5th in a bunch finish of the 143km Stage 1 of Presidential Cycling Tour of Turkey on Sunday.

OPQS worked at the front to chase down a breakaway with 14km to go, and in the final 10km moved into front position on the right side as trains began to move up across the road. In the final 3km, three OPQS riders led out Fenn next to the train of Argos-Shimano, who was setting up Marcel Kittel. As the sprint was launched, Kittel's power simply couldn't be matched as he went on to victory. Andre Greipel (Lotto-Belisol) was 2nd, and Yuri Metlushenko (Torku Seker Spor) was 3rd.

OPQS looks next to a 150km Stage 2 on Monday.
