Omega Pharma - Quick-Step Cycling Team has announced the selection that will take part in Ster ZLM Toer - GP Jan van Heeswijk, a 738.8km stage race from June 12th to June 16th.

The upcoming race is the first for OPQS rider Dries Devenyns since his crash in the first stage of Vuelta Ciclista al Pais Vasco, when he fractured the radius of the left arm due to the fall.

"I can't wait to start the race," Devenyns said. "I am really happy about it, finally after a long period of recovery I can return to competition. I don't expect so much from this race, I don't know where I can be if I compare myself with the competitors. But for sure it will be really important for me to be in the atmosphere of the peloton, stay in the race, and then see day-by-day what can happen. For sure I will try to be useful for the team and then we will see."

Ster ZLM Toer - GP Jan van Heeswijk will also be the first race for several OPQS riders after the Giro d'Italia.

"Mark Cavendish and Michal Golas, Jerome Pineau, Matteo Trentin, as well as Gert Steegmans will be back in competition after the Giro," Sport Director Tom Steels said. "So it will be an important race for them to get again into the rhythm of the race and get again a good feeling. Then we will see day-by-day. We will also be there with riders such as Andrew Fenn and Frantisek Rabon. As for the race, after the prologue there will be a stage for the sprinters. On Friday the stage is kind of a small Amstel Gold Race. On Saturday it will be like Liege-Bastogne-Liege. We will see how our riders handle the parcours. If there will be a chance, for sure we will do our best to try to take it. "
