Omega Pharma - Quick-Step Cycling Team rider Pieter Serry was the top finisher out of less than 50 riders who decided the 149.3km Stage 2 of Tour de l'Ain on Sunday.
Grega Bole (Vacansoleil-DCM) won the stage, with Fabio Felline (Androni - Venezuela) placing 2nd and Fabian Wegmann (Garmin-Sharp) finishing 3rd. The race came back together inside 7km to go as there were two riders ahead and a front split of about 39 riders ahead of 17. Eventually those groups rejoined before the finish.
Felline is now the race leader after OPQS rider Gianni Meersman was on the top step for two stages. Dries Devenyns, who finished 12th in the stage, remains 2nd in the GC (+04").
OPQS looks next to a 136.4km Stage 3 on Monday.
