Omega Pharma - Quick-Step Cycling Team rider Tony Martin, despite a Category 3 climb in the middle of the 38.8km ITT course on Wednesday, continued his amazing 2013 season of ITT performances with a 2nd place finish at La Vuelta a España Stage 11 on Wednesday.

Martin finished 2nd by 37" to Fabian Cancellara (Radioshack-Leopard), but was faster than Domenico Pozzovivo (AG2R - La Mondiale) by almost a minute.

"I'm happy about my race," Martin said. "I had to face lot of headwind but I maintained always a good speed. Even on the climb I did well. I think I had one of the best times at the top of it. Cancellara was really outstanding, congratulations to him. Concerning me, I think I did a good race. My condition is good and today it was another important step on the road to the worlds."

OPQS looks next to a 164.2km Stage 12 on Thursday. There is only one categorized climb in this stage, and it is in the middle of the course.
