Omega Pharma - Quick-Step Cycling Team riders Iljo Keisse, Julian Alaphilippe, and Gert Steegmans made a 17 rider escape group that eventually dwindled to just two approaving the finish line. Steegmans, with about 10km to go and the gap at around 30" attacked.
Yves Lampaert (Topsport Vlaanderen - Baloise) followed him, and the two held an advantage approaching the finish. However, a bunch sprint resulted as FDJ.fr was pulling much of the race for their sprinter Nacer Bouhanni.
Kenny Dehaes (Lotto-Belisol) won in a photo finish over Tom Van Asbroeck (Lotto-Belisol) and Bouhanni. Steegmans finished 4th after his strong effort, and OPQS sprinter Andrew Fenn was 5th.
