Omega Pharma - Quick-Step Cycling Team rider Gianluca Brambilla finished 21st in the 120.7km Volta Ciclista a Catalunya Stage 7 on Sunday.
Lieuwe Westra (Astana) won solo after attacking out of a breakaway. Marcus Burghardt (BMC Racing Team) was 2nd, and Thomas Voeckler (Team Europcar) 3rd. The final stage included a circuit of 8 laps, which featured Cat 3. Montjuic.
Carlos Verona was the top OPQS finisher in the GC, also placing 21st. Volta Ciclista a Catalunya was highlighted by multiple podiums of riders Julian Alaphilippe and Pieter Serry.
