Omega Pharma - Quick-Step Cycling Team will enter the 176.5km 2nd Stage of Tour de Picardie on Saturday with two riders in the top 10, thanks to a top 5 finish from Gianni Meersman in the bunch sprint, and bonifications taken by Nikolas Maes in the breakaway that was caught with more than 10km to go in the 191km Stage 1 on Friday.

Maes entered into a four-rider breakaway and is now 4th in the GC, while Meersman is 4th. They are 7" and 9" back from race leader Bryan Coquard (Team Europcar), respectively. Coquard won the stage with Arnaud Demare (FDJ.fr) 2nd, and Ramon Sinkeldam (Giant-Shimano) 3rd.

The 2nd stage on Saturday features four cotes, but a much flatter final kilometers.
