In co-operation with Kookeiland, partner of Omega Pharma – Quick-Step and responsible for all meals of the riders and VIPS during all big cycling races, OPQS will organize an exclusive Fan Village along the course during the Tour de France 2014. The team will not only serve the VIPs a meal every day, but will also invite supporters alongside the road to cheer for their favorite team or rider.

In an ambiance that gives the feel of a summer vacation along with an outdoors camping trip, as well as a feeling of unity and Belgian enthusiasm, every two days we will offer space for 50 mobile homes, which travel along with the Tour de France. The OPQS Fan Village will be built up every two days, so the mobile homes can reach their designated places in time (before 11h). Space is limited strictly to 50 mobile homes, so it is best to not wait and hope there is a place remaining!

Every afternoon chef Albert Verdeyen will welcome the peloton mobile homes in the OPQS Fan Village. He will prepare one of his delicious meals, which will be served to the invited fans. Before the stage an OPQS representative will take time out of their busy schedules to report about the condition of the riders and their expectations of that day in the OPQS Fan Village. The VIPS of Omega Pharma – Quick-Step Cycling Team will also enjoy their lunch in the VIP part of the OPQS Fan Village.

From 14h00 the OPQS Fan Village opens for the crowd, and entrance is free. However, capacity is limited, so it is essential to register on the website or arrive early. It is highly recommended to not wait or show up late and hope there is still room, as this is a great opportunity and for sure the capacity will be reached quickly! Prepare accordingly and make sure there is room for you! Supporters who gain entrance can visit the village for a snack and a drink. In the meantime they can enjoy the passage of the publicity caravan and of course the riders. After that they can watch the stage on a big screen. All visitors will receive a fan package with a OPQS T-shirt, cap and flag to commemorate their experience.

The OPQS Fan Village has to be a meeting point of all OPQS supporters and other cycling fans, so they can stimulate and cheer for the riders when they pass the OPQS village. On both rest days the OPQS Fan Village will be opened as well and a several activities will be organized then.

When a Belgian rider and / or OPQS rider wins a stage, a free barrel of beer will be opened!

The OPQS Fan Village closes one hour after the finish of the stage.
