In the second race of the day — 24.3KM Tour du Poitou-Charentes Stage 4 ITT — Jan Bakelants of OPQS earned a 9th place finish with a time of 30 minutes and 42 seconds.
Sylvain Chavanel (IAM Cycling) won the stage, and also took over the overall lead, with a time of 29'04". Sven Tuft (Orica-GreenEDGE) was 2nd, and Cyril Lemoine (Cofidis) was 3rd.
OPQS rider Mark Cavendish was the overall leader through three stages after winning the first two. He retains the poins jersey after the ITT.
OPQS looks next to a final, 191.9km stage on Friday.
