OPQS rider Pieter Serry finished 68th in the medium mountain Stage 18 of La Vuelta a España on Thursday. The stage was decided by the top GC contenders, as Chris Froome (Team Sky) and Fabio Aru (Astana) had a small gap on Alejandro Valverde (Movistar), Joaquim Rodriguez (Katusha), and Alberto Contador (Tinkoff-Saxo)
Aru won the stage, with Froome gaining 12" on the riders behind him. This moved him into 2nd in the overall classification on Valverde, while putting him 1'19" back from Contador.
OPQS looks next to 180.5km medium mountain Stage 19 on Friday. There are two Category 2 climbs, but the stage has a brief uphill before descending into the finish line.
