Omega Pharma - Quick-Step Cycling Team had a rider involved in every move at Le Samyn, from a five rider break involving Iljo Keisse that had a 8 minute, 45 second gap at one point, to Michal Kwiatkowski making a break and then going into time trial mode on his own — from 7 km until 5.2km remained — on Wednesday. The team also chased down other attacks and made their way to the front for the leadout during the bunch sprint. There was no question the team dictated the race. Unfortunately, the train had difficulty sustaining itself with 1.3km remaing. Arnaud Demare (FDJ) won out on the sprint, with Matteo Trentin placing 10th.
