Etixx - Quick-Step rider Niki Terpstra remains the overall leader after the 171.4km 2nd Stage of Tour de Wallonie on Sunday, won by Danny van Poppel (Trek Factory Racing) out of the sprint.

Matti Breschel (Tinkoff-Saxo) was 2nd, and Marcus Burghardt (BMC Racing Team) finished 3rd.

Christopher Juul Jensen (Tinkoff-Saxo) was on the attack out of a breakaway inside 3km to go, and then Dries Devenyns (IAM Cycling) and Antoine Duchesne (Europcar) tried a late race attack. However, all those moves were brought back inside the final kilometer. Etixx - Quick-Step did a great job controlling the race in support of Terpstra as the race leader.

Etixx - Quick-Step looks next to Stage 3, which is the longest stage of the race at 207km from Bastogne to Namur, on Monday. This could be a day for the Classics riders. There are ten ascents and an uphill finish.
