In January, we kicked-off a season-long series focused on unknown things about our riders. Very likely, everybody is aware how the Etixx – Quick-Step riders came into the sport or what are their biggest results to date, but few or none know what movies and music they enjoy, or where they like to spend their holidays. Here's your chance to find out all these.
Favourite movie: "The Great Gatsby", no doubt about that. It's an intriguing story with great actors, all which make up for an entertaining movie. I like it because it's a visual feast, a journey back in time that makes you feel like being actually there, but also a movie that revolves around the significant theme of hope. And this appealed to me, because, also in cycling, having hope and believing in things it's very important.
Favourite TV show: "How I Met Your Mother". I love it, love it, love it! Every episode is a good laugh, with great characters that are well bounded, and a little bit of everything for everyone: funny stuff, romantic moments and even dramatic ones, which make this show real complete. If you haven't watched it, then make sure you do and "Suit up"!
Favourite books: I read quite a lot, especially when I'm at the races or in training camps. I like books that are teaching you how to think positive, regardless of the situation you face. One of these books is "The Secret", which I've read in an important moment of my life.
Favourite music: All kind of music, especially from the '90s. Almost everything that came out in those years was a hit. I'm sure you know what I'm talking about.
Favourite holiday destination: The Dominican Republic. If you are there, you really can't ask for anything more in terms of relaxation. I went for a holiday in that country four times and I loved it every time. I can't wait to return there, this time also with my daughter.
