A crash on Côte de Wanne will put the Belgian out of action for the upcoming weeks.

Pieter Serry will be forced to skip the Ardennes Classics after sustaining an injury today, while out training on the route of Liège-Bastogne-Liège, the spring's fourth and final Monument. The 28-year-old, who this season finished tenth overall at the Vuelta a San Juan, was taken to the hospital in Herentals, where his condition was evaluated.

Following the diagnostic – broken collarbone – Pieter underwent a successful surgery. At the moment, a date for his return to the peloton hasn't been set.
