The Massachusetts based recovery specialists will provide our riders with the NormaTec PULSE Series Recovery System.
The partnership will see riders from Deceuninck – Quick-Step, who finished the 2018 season ranked as No1 in the UCI World Tour Rankings, use NormaTec’s dynamic compression devices as part of their post-race and training recovery routine. NormaTec use patented technology to boost circulation to the limbs and reduce pain and soreness, which studies have shown can help to increase range of motion, flushes out lactate, and decreases inflammation, giving athletes a competitive edge.
“We are really excited to partner with Deceuninck – Quick-Step and help them bring their athlete recovery to the next level,” said Gilad Jacobs, CEO of NormaTec. “The Deceuninck - Quick-Step Cycling Team is one of the most competitive in the world, with a remarkable roster of cyclists and an incredible race schedule. NormaTec’s world-class recovery technology will be a huge asset to them and we look forward to great things from the team this year.”
These thoughts were added to by Deceuninck – Quick-Step Team Doctor Toon Cruyt, who said: ‘“NormaTec products are fantastic mobile systems for lymphatic drainage. In combination with regular massage, they produce the ideal recovery system. They are especially useful for our riders when travelling and during long transfers after a race, as it can be used in the bus as primary and quick recovery system. We are very happy and excited to have the team using their great range of products, as well as utilising their support and expertise”.
