Our riders enjoyed a relaxing rest day, during which they discovered Specialized’s Turbo Creo SL.

Tuesday in Albi, Specialized’s World Tour squad, Deceuninck – Quick-Step, went for their rest day coffee ride on the all new Turbo Creo SL, Specialized’s first Turbo road bike. Julian Alaphilippe, Stage 3 winner and holder of the yellow jersey, led his team out on the new S-Works Turbo Creo SL.

The Turbo Creo SL was launched today and sets a new standard for the e-road category. It’s a combination of lightweight, power, range, and connectivity that can flatten your climbs and let you ride farther and faster than you ever thought possible. Nothing else on the road comes close. Turbo Creo SL – It’s a Whole New Sport.

The Turbo Creo SL allowed these World Tour riders to go on their all-important rest day recovery ride without taxing their legs or cardiovascular system, while retaining the fast, light and lively feel of the Tarmacs and Venges they have been racing for the last 10 stages. Of course, our riders couldn’t resist going full gas on the new bike, just for fun.

“It’s a really nice and beautiful bike, which I got to discover during the shooting we did in Sierra Nevada. It was the perfect way to spin the legs after ten hard days of racing. I am glad that I could use it on the first rest day of the Tour de France – one I will always remember, as I came into it with the yellow jersey on my shoulders – and go for a relaxing coffee ride together with my teammates”, said Julian, the first French rider in five years to wear the maillot jaune.

  • At just 12.2kg with a FACT 11r carbon frame and Paris-Roubaix winning Future Shock 2.0 the Turbo Creo SL is kilograms lighter than other bottom-bracket motor e-road bikes.
  • The Specialized SL 1.1 motor provides 240watts of consistent and smooth power that feels natural to pedal. With the same effort, a rider gets twice the reward.
  • 195km/120miles of available real-world range. 130km/80miles from the 320Wh internal battery, 65km/40miles of range from an optional 160Wh range extender.
  • Our Mission Control app offers infinite tuning of power delivery and automated battery management, while the SL 1.1 motor has an integrated ANT+ power meter.
