The 27-year-old Frenchman is ready for one of his most important goals of the season.

Two days from now, Julian Alaphilippe will be going after one of cycling’s most iconic trophies, the rainbow jersey which rewards the winner of the World Championships and puts him for twelve months in the spotlight, a prize that can define one’s career.

One of Julian’s biggest goals of the year, Sunday’s 285km-long road race comes at the end of his best season to date, one throughout which he kept hitting new heights and established himself as one of the peloton’s biggest stars, exuding charisma and panache with every appearance.

In this emotional, not to be missed video made by La Pédale, Julian talks about winning Milano-Sanremo, enjoying a stellar Tour de France as part of the Wolfpack, and his desire to put the cherry on the cake by capturing the rainbow jersey.
