Multiple injuries for 23-year-old Colombian sprinter.

Following Saturday’s crash in the final kilometer of the Tour de l’Eurometropole, Alvaro Hodeg was taken to the hospital, where it was revealed that he has suffered a left forearm fracture, a right shoulder fracture and two fractured ribs.

He will require operation on his shoulder, which will be performed in Belgium, on Sunday. Alvaro will continue to be monitored for signs of concussion overnight, but is in stable and comfortable condition.

Now in his second season with Deceuninck – Quick-Step, Hodeg has enjoyed an impressive campaign, winning seven races, his most recent victory coming earlier this week, at the Münsterland Giro.
