Wednesday will see also the first of our Wolfpack Rides take place.
Some of cycling’s biggest names are ready to participate in this week’s Digital Swiss 5 (22-26 April), including Remco Evenepoel, European ITT Champion and winner of the Clasica San Sebastian in his maiden pro season. Held on the ROUVY Indoor Cycling Platform together with Velon, the five races will see the teams field a three-man roster who’ll take on the challenging course consisting of a mixture of flat, hilly and mountain profiles, taken from the route of the prestigious Tour de Suisse.
Remco, who will race as early as Wednesday, together with fellow countrymen Dries Devenyns and Pieter Serry, is eager to debut in The Digital Swiss 5: “I talked the other day with the guys and they are all looking forward to this, as it should be really fun. We don’t quite know what to expect, but one thing is certain: it promises to be an exciting indoor race series, which is more than welcome in these quiet and strange times when road cycling has been cancelled. It’s great for us, it’s great also for our fans, and I’m sure they will watch and root for the Wolfpack!”
That’s not all! This Wednesday we are launching the Wolfpack Rides, a new series that will see two Deceuninck – Quick-Step riders take on a virtual race every week, joined by fans from all over the world, from the comfort of their homes. Irish Champion Sam Bennett and New Zealand Champion Shane Archbold will be the first two members of the team to kick off things, with our fans invited to join them as the duo will lead the ride, so make sure you clear your schedule tomorrow, from 4:30 PM!
