The two-time Dwars door Vlaanderen winner received a special guest recently, with the team CEO returning to the bicycle and cycling to see him.
Patrick Lefevere was riding a Vado Sl 4.0 EQ, built by our bike partners at Specialized, and rode to see Yves Lampaert at his home. Team photographer Wout Beel was on hand to capture these unique images of Patrick’s ride, as well as the pair talking all things cycling over a Wolfpack coffee, the first time the two had met since the beginning of the Covid-19 lockdown in Belgium, a couple of months ago.
Speaking of the visit, Patrick said: “It was a really enjoyable morning. Firstly, it was great to see Yves again. The lockdown has been hard on everyone and as a team we are used to spending all of our time together, so to be able to sit down and talk after such a long time was special. And the bike was fantastic and rode beautifully. We have seen that e-bikes have developed a lot in recent years and are helping to make cycling more accessible to everyone. Part of our #ItStartsWithUs sustainability campaign is encouraging the use of the bicycle as a viable form of transport and the development of bikes like this are starting to make this a realistic option.”
