As part of their trip to the US, Remco Evenepoel, Mattia Cattaneo and the team staff spent a day touring the impressive Oakley Global Headquarters in Foothill Ranch, California.
There they learnt more about the history of the brand and what makes the Oakley eyewear they wear so technologically advanced, keeping their visual clarity at the highest level possible while protecting them against any condition and elements during racing and training.
The guys received a sneak peek into Oakley’s research and design department and took part in a very insightful and productive round table discussion about product innovation with Sports Marketing, Product Marketing, Design and VPL (Vision Performance Laboratory) teams. They closed out the day exploring the Oakley Custom Product program and the riders built a special pair of their choosing by hand.
