The two riders were involved in a training accident on Wednesday while at our camp in Spain.
During the incident, Mauri Vansevenant incurred a broken thumb and has flown back to Belgium, where he will undergo further conservative treatment.
Rémi Cavagna has unfortunately fractured his L1 vertebrae which will require further treatment in Spain. He is currently being looked after by Dr. Ignacio Muñoz at the Hospital IMSKE Valencia, where the plan is to operate on him on Monday. Examinations can confirm that there is no neurological damage.
