Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl one of the few teams to get multiple wins at this edition.

Champs-Élysées hosted a stage finish for the 50th time in history, and the sprinters were all keen on making the most of this opportunity, especially as the opportunities to shine at this edition have been scarce in the past three weeks.

Victorious on the opening weekend, in Nyborg, where he picked up his sixth Grand Tour stage victory, Fabio Jakobsen was one of the main contenders, and relied on a motivated and hard-working team, who kept things together in Paris, and especially in the last five kilometers, where three riders tried to take the peloton by surprise, only for Yves Lampaert to react and bring them back. Unfortunately for the Dutchman, he was hit by bad luck in the last 300 meters of the stage, a mechanical spoiling his chances of fighting for what would have been his second victory at his debut Tour de France.

Despite this, Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl can look with pride on the team’s 20th appearance at the Grande Boucle. Two stage victories, the first netted by Yves Lampaert in Copenhagen, and a spell in the iconic yellow jersey – which made the Wolfpack one of the only three teams to hold the tunic – and numerous presences in the breakaway are the team’s highlights at Le Tour, from which we came out holding the number one spot in the team victory classification.
