The 34-year-old looked back on his time with the squad.
Known for his incredible diesel engine and constant presence at the front of the peloton, from where he put an end to the hopes of dozens if not hundreds of breakaways, Tim Declercq will say goodbye to Soudal Quick-Step after seven beautiful and memorable years.
During this time, the Belgian emerged as a tireless and fantastic helper, which earned him one of the coolest nicknames in cycling – “El Tractor” – and contributed to some of our team’s most unforgettable victories and achievements, be it in Monuments or Grand Tours.
Our roads may be parting at the end of 2023, but Tim will always remain a great friend of the Wolfpack, and we just know that whenever we will meet in races, we’ll say hi, share some stories, and even plan a 1v1 Age of Empires ll match.
