From the classroom to the chaotic sprint finishes of the pro peloton, Tim Merlier and Bert Van Lerberghe have been friends for over 20 years.
Since meeting in school, the pair have built an enduring bond that has seen them grow on to a formidable lead-out man/sprinter partnership, with the pair having an understanding that allowed them to navigate cycling’s chaotic sprint finishes and rack up countless victories in the Soudal Quick-Step jersey.
