The Dane will stay in the Wolfpack family until the end of 2026.

Casper Pedersen came to Soudal Quick-Step ahead of the 2023 season, and needed just a couple of days to prove what he is capable of, taking the victory at the inaugural edition of a hard and selective Figueira Champions Classic.

The 28-year-old, a pro since 2018, is also an incredible team player, having supported the squad’s goals at numerous races in the two seasons spent with the Wolfpack so far, be it Monuments, stage races or Grand Tours. Most recently, he showcased his incredible commitment and hard work in the opening week of the Tour de France, which unfortunately he was forced to abandon after four days due to a collarbone fracture.

Casper made a full recovery from that injury and is now preparing to start his sixth Grand Tour – Vuelta a España – which comes just days after putting pen to paper for a new two-year contract with the most successful team of this century.

“When I joined the team almost two years ago it was a dream that came true, and now, to extend the contract with this squad, which has such a history and legacy, makes me incredibly happy. I grew up watching Soudal Quick-Step writing history and breaking one record after another, so being here at this point in my career is amazing. I felt part of the family from day one, you can really feel the Wolfpack spirit and how the staff is behind the riders and passionately work for them. They feel our happiness but also our pain, and this is just one of the things that makes it exceptional being here.”

“It’s also incredible to have such extraordinary teammates around you, people who inspire me every day. I have a lot of ambition, but I’m also happy when a teammate wins, because cycling is a team sport in the end. I hope for a lot of success with the squad in the next two years. I’m motivated to increase my level and produce some nice results for the team, but also to be part of this winning machine that is Soudal Quick-Step”, an elated Casper said.

“It gives us great pleasure that Casper has decided to continue our beautiful journey together. Truth being told, it was an easy decision for both sides: he is happy in the team and feels that it’s the right environment to continue to develop and show what he is capable of, while we are delighted to keep a strong rider who has shown his potential and the Wolfpack spirit on numerous occasions”, said Soudal Quick-Step CEO Patrick Lefevere.
