The 25-year-old all-rounder will become the fifth British rider in the history of our squad

British Road Race Champion Ethan Hayter will ride for our team starting from 2025, after he inked a two-season deal. One of the most versatile riders in the peloton, winner of close to twenty races on the road and four gold medals at the Track World Championships, Ethan turned pro in 2020 and has since taken at least a victory in each year.

A rider who can time trial, climb and sprint, Hayter impressed in a number of races – from the Tour de Romandie or the Tour of Britain to the World Championships, where in 2022 he finished top ten in both races – and will now start a new chapter in his career, one which the London-based rider looks forward to with a lot of excitement and optimism.

“I’m really pleased to be joining Soudal Quick-Step – one of the best teams in the peloton – next year. It’s an exciting move and I’m grateful for the opportunity. From the outside, it has always looked like a great team to be part of, and this new challenge is something that motivates me for next season. I’m already looking forward to meeting everyone there and getting things started”, said Ethan, who recently took silver at the Olympic Games in the Team Pursuit event.

“Ethan is a multi-discipline rider, somebody who is used to winning and who has caught our attention with his many qualities, which he has showcased in the World Tour from a young age. He will soon be 26, but he can become even better and this, together with his desire to work hard and thrive in this environment, makes us confident in the success of our partnership”, said Soudal Quick-Step CEO Patrick Lefevere.
