Omega Pharma - Quick-Step Cycling Team rider Dries Devenyns was involved in one of many breaks throughout the day in 243km GP Ouest France - Plouay on Sunday, but OPQS did not get the chance to contest the race victory due to a late race attack.

Rui Costa (Movistar) attacked with several kilometers to go, getting a gap on the final climb. However, Edvald Boasson Hagen (Team Sky ProCycling) bridged to Costa, and seeing that Costa was not willing to make a move, he attacked and dropped Costa at the top of the climb with 1km remaining. Boasson Hagen managed to hold off the charging peloton for the win. Costa was 2nd, and Heinrich Haussler (Garmin-Sharp) was 3rd.
