Omega Pharma - Quick-Step Cycling Team, who won Omloop van het Houtland Lichtervelde in 2011 with Guillaume Van Keirsbulck, made sure the team was in every move in case the race did not end in the typical bunch sprint on tbe 193.8km flat course on Wednesday.
Serge Pauwels and Iljo Keisse were both involved in attacks during the race, but the field still pulled back all attackers for the bunch sprint in the final. Marcel Kittel (Argos-Shimano) won the race, with Adam Blythe (BMC Racing Team) taking 2nd and Tim Dupont (unsigned) 3rd.
Andy Fenn was 6th for OPQS.
