The first day of Omega Pharma - Quick-Step Cycling Team training camp in Mallorca was an eventful one, featuring a visit from OPQS Team Owner Mr. Zdenek Bakala. The entire OPQS board was also in attendance for a meeting. Mr. Bakala first had the pleasure of a morning ride with Tom Boonen, Tony Martin, Niki Terpstra, Peter Velits, and other team members. There may have been light rain during the ride, but nothing prevented Mr. Bakala from having fun!
At night, Mr. Bakala also shared a table and ate dinner with the team. He provided a great speech about the results of last year — how happy and proud he is, for example — and talked a bit about the bright future of OPQS. He wished Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone, and hoped to enjoy another ride with the team as soon as possible. Overall, it was a great first day with the man who makes the team possible!
