Omega Pharma - Quick-Step Cycling Team rider Nikolas Maes had surgery performed on his left shoulder at the Herentals Clinic in Belgium, by the staff of Doctor Claes, today. Maes suffered a fracture to his left collarbone during a training session on Tuesday.
Maes will take a period of necessary rest following a surgery that went well. He will gradually start working with his bike again after this necessary recovery period.
