The Santos Tour Down Under - the first World Tour race of the 2013 season - concluded with a 90 kilometres criterium in the streets of Adelaide. Despite several attacks, with Frantisek Rabon involved in one of them, the stage ended in a predicted bunch sprint.
In the sprint Andre Greipel (Lotto-Belisol) took another stage win, his third of this tour. This time he beated Mark Renshaw (Blanco) and Edvald Boasson Hagen (SKY). Omega Pharma - Quick-Step Cycling Team rider Andrew Fenn just finished outside the top-10 in 12th position.
The overall win went to the young Dutchman Tom-Jelte Slagter (Blanco). Javier Moreno (Movistar) and Thomas Geraint (SKY) accompanied Slagter on the podium. Serge Pauwels was the best OPQS rider in a 20th place.
