The team the night before the Driedaagse van West-Vlaanderen took the occasion to participate in the yearly supportersavond in Wevelgem with the local OPQS fan club. The number of fans was enough to till the room as riders, Sport Director Tom Steels, and other members of the OPQS staff were in attendance.

All riders were present except Mark Cavendish, who flew in from London too late to attend.

The supporters watched a video of all the OPQS victories of 2012, as one-by-one the riders were introduced. The supporters then had the possibility to talk with the riders, get autographs, and receive team related materials such as postcards.

"Every year we come with a few riders," Steels said. "We know how important our fans are and how rewarding it is for them to have the team here in Wevelgem. That's the town where we have also our headquarters. We are really linked and involved with these people who follow us with passion during the season. We can't put into words how thankful we are to have this kind of support."
