Le Tour de Langkawi was concluded with a stage from Tasik Kenyir to Kuala Terengganu which covered 114,8 kilometres. An escape group tried its luck, but it were the sprinters who battled for the stage win again.

In that sprint Francesco Chicchi (Vini Fantini) took his second stage win. He outsprinted Rico Rogers (Synegy Baku CP) and Graeme Brown (Blanco). Andrew Fenn finished 5th for the fourth time this race, he also ended 5th in stage 2, 4 and 7.

The overall win went to Julian David Arredondo (Team Nippo). Pieter Weening (Orica GreenEDGE) and Sergio Pardilla (Team MTN Qhubeka) were 2nd and 3rd in the final overall.
