Biography of Dirk

Experienced mechanic Dirk has now been working in professional cycling for 32 years and has made a decision: “I think now I full surrender to it!” he said with a he grin.

Born in Oostende, Dirk was a cyclist himself, but a heavy traffic accident meant that he would no long continue. In the team he was riding, Dirk had made a number of contacts within the sport, which meant that he was soon able to find a job as a mechanic. Dirk was worked with Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl for 8 year now.

He describes his work as his hobby and vice versa, but he also enjoys travelling with his girlfriend and relaxing.
