Fausto Oppici

After a solid 15-year career as an amateur, during which he won a couple of races, Fausto decided to continue his passion and remain in the cycling world as a mechanic. Following a spell with Mapei, he joined our team in its early days and after a short intermezzo with another squad, he returned a couple of years ago to the homey atmosphere and the familiar faces here.

 

“I like everything about this job. Every day you learn something new. When I started out, we had nine gears, now you have twelve gears. We started with a cable outside the breaks, now it’s inside. Now you also have electronic gears and disc brakes, so everything developed quickly and everything is different – another thing that makes cycling so fascinating.”
