Biography of Wim

Before joining the team in 2024, Wim was as an individual coach working especially with youth talents next to his job as a functionairy in the Flemish Parliament, and didn’t really consider changing careers until this opportunity came up. During the 2024 Giro d’Italia, his first season with the squad, he discovered the Wolfpack spirit, and to this day, that race remains his best memory since being part of Soudal Quick-Step.

Wim lives in Ninove, in the heart of the Flemish Ardennes, only two kilometers from the finish line of the first Opening Weekend race, Omloop Het Nieuwsblad. Living in Flanders, the Spring Classics are naturally close to his heart, but he also loves the charming Provence, which makes him always look forward to a Tour de France stage featuring the iconic Mont Ventoux.
